Fantasia’s Reps: [Gay Marriage Comment] Taken Far Out Of Context

Fantasia is definitely sick of all the criticism she received after she became involved with and had a baby by a married man, but her latest rant may not have been the most appropriate way to handle it.

Last night, she wrote her response to the ongoing criticism while condemning legalized gay marriages on her Instagram.  She wrote:

I Rise ABOVE IT ALL!!! THE WORLD IS GONE MAD. KIDS, THE GOVERMENT, THE church House… Everybody Trying!!!!!!! Its a lot that going on that the Bible speaks about we should Not be doing. Weed legal in some places, Gay Marriage Legal BUT YET IM JUDGED!!! Im not doing Nothing for you… My Life!!!!

PR was definitely on line 1 ASAP for cleanup.  This morning, the post was deleted and her management released the following statement:

Comments made by Ms. Barrino through her Instagram account were recently taken far out of context, and the purpose of this release is to set the record straight. Ms. Barrino is not now, nor has she ever been an opponent of the LGBT community. She has supported and performed at numerous events that are sponsored by the LGBT community. Whether it’s through a live performance or placement on social media, Ms. Barrino uses every opportunity to reach out and connect with her fans, all of her fans.

Well, that was a close one.

Pointing fingers back and making judgments probably wasn’t the best response, but does she have a point?

    Those bastard boys “Thompson & Venables” were born evil and should never have been released. I’ve just read James Dad book and was severley overwrought with disgust with the British Judicial system. Right from the time of the arrests, the law has BEEN ON their side. WHAT THE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The public should know now the total brutality and multilation that Darling trusting little James went through. His murder was beyond my total comprehension and to think it was administered by these EVIL, EVIL bastards…..who were only 10 years old at the time! They are NO VICTIMS, just remorseless, evil human beings and a total waste of life. I won’t print what l would do if l could because the hell the Bulger families have been through (and will forever more, as long as these monsters live) is not what they want. The sadness that l feel and have every since young James murder has always haunted me. To think he’d be a young man himself now is hard to comprehend. If there was any organisation to support the Bulger families, l’d love to join. I’m so sorry for your unimagineable loss. You’ll be forever in my heart.
