This past weekend, Oprah stopped by the set of “Scandal” to talk to Kerry Washington as well as Judy Smith ( the real life Olivia Pope), and creator Shonda Rhimes.
During the interview, Kerry dished on how she was able to transition from playing the powerful DC Fixer Olivia Pope in Scandal, to playing the slave Broomhilda, in the upcoming movie Django Unchained. The conversation got very deep as Kerry talked about having to film her Django scenes at an actual slave plantation in front of actual whipping trees and the toll that the role took on her.
